The Beachside Getaway

Offering a wonderful holiday destination for individuals and families living with disability

In March 2020, the Living Without Limits Foundation completed the Beachside Getaway project, which has the potential to holiday up to 50 families living with disability each year, at no cost to them.

The Beachside Getaway provides a much needed holiday destination for these families, giving them a chance to relax, unwind and re-connect, in a built-for-purpose house that provides the assistive equipment they require for their daily care needs – something that all basic holiday homes are simply not equipped with.

Most families living with disability have little money left after using their income to provide the expensive therapies that are needed for their children. This, combined with the added pressures and stress of everyday life, leaves these families burnt out and in desperate need of a break that’s not a financial burden to arrange. The Beachside Getaway is also an opportunity for families to give some time to their other children and to re-connect as a family unit.

Living Without Limits has teamed with one of South Australia’s longest running and most respected disability service providers, Novita, to manage the day-to-day maintenance and invite families to enjoy the holiday house, while the purpose-built holiday home was designed and constructed by SARAH Constructions, a fantastic South Australian business.

Nestled within the beautiful coastal town of Goolwa, the Beachside Getaway offers families the perfect opportunity to take a break and enjoy one of South Australia’s great seaside destinations, just over an hour’s drive from Adelaide and in close proximity to a hospital and other medical facilities.

Up to 9 people can be accommodated in this newly-built and fully-furnished holiday home for up to six-nights, which features the most modern facilities and appliances to make the families stay enjoyable and relaxing.

This architecturally designed home has been purpose built by SARAH Constructions and offers:
